Tawd Vale FT and ARC has been running for over 20 years, our aim is to provide people with an interest in safe use of airguns somewhere to shoot with like minded people. We are open every Sunday rain or shine from 9am(ish) as well as mid-week once you meet certain criteria.
We are associated with the BFTA (British Field Target Association) and also UKAHFT (United Kingdom Association for Hunter Field Target). We hold regular competitions to their respective rules. Along with these competitions we also run a Air Pistol league as well as the 'B2 Challenge'.
If competitions are not your thing we also have a roughly 1 acre plinking range where you can relax and shoot to your hearts content every week. We also run club days that allow you to hone your FT or HFT skills on the course.
You do not need to own a gun to shoot at Tawd Vale and it is advised that you come to the club and try a few out before you buy one for yourself, most members are more than happy to let you try their set up. We also have a club gun that we loan out for free to newcommers.
If you are interested in airgun shooting then we are probably the club for you.
We encourage safe us of airguns. It does not matter if you shoot FT, HFT, pistols or any other style.
The club has a strong FT (Field Target) group and is home to world and british champions. We also have a good HFT (Hunter Field Target) following and we run our own summer and winter series that is open to anyone. As well as that the club also runs a Pistol league as well as the B2 Challenge but if competitions are not your thing then we have a large group of members that just shoot for fun without taking it too seriously that just enjoy the nice atmosphere that we have.
We do not do any hunting, FAC guns or other type of shooting that does not involve airguns.
The following people are our current club officials. New members should primarily contact Dave Fairhurst the Club Secretary. Email is fine - but telephone is much easier. Please do not visit Tawd Vale FT and ARC at any time other than Sundays except by arrangement with a committee member and please do not contact the Scouts or the Camp Site direct for information about our club.
It is preffered that you contact us before you plan to visit to make sure one of us are available to introduce you to what we do, it just makes it easier.
